Since 2006 Health Arts Society (BC) has delivered over 8,500 professional music and theatre performances to audiences in health care facilities throughout British Columbia, providing those isolated from our arts community the experience of enjoying performance arts in their own health care setting. These residents, their families and health care professionals alike have been stimulated by these live 45-minute performances.
"Votre oeuvre me touche et suscite toute mon admiration / I was moved by this initiative which deserves all my admiration."
Vancouver Symphony Orchestra - Bramwell Tovey, Music Director
Vancouver Opera - Kim Gaynor, General Director
University of British Columbia School of Music - Dr Richard Kurth, Director
Bard on the Beach - Christopher Gaze, Artistic Director
The Knowledge Network attended a performance in 2007 and reported the wonderful impression it had on the audience.
